As we journey through life, we work to accomplish some things, but in some cases we don’t achieve the results we want. However, there are some things that we cannot afford to lose, one of which is the battle of cancer. Read this article for cancer-fighting information that is effective.
To prevent cancer from growing, stay away from eating sugar. Since cancer cells require sugar for fuel, reducing the amount you eat, or eliminating it entirely can rob cancer of its energy source. By itself, this is not a sufficient treatment to beat cancer, but it can serve as a supplement to other therapies.
Cancer is very difficult for both the patient and his family. Make sure you get help from a doctor to treat your cancer and adopt healthier habits.
In addition to making you feel great in your daily life, maintaining a healthy weight and diet, and getting plenty of exercise, has been shown to reduce the risk of cancer. Eat lots of vegetables and fruit, drink adequate water and aim for 30 minutes of exercise a day. Not only will it improve your life, it could reduce your risk of cancer.
Be mindful to the fact that fruits and vegetables from the store may not be ready for immediate consumption, as they may be tainted. They often carry chemicals meant to kill insects, fungus, or bacteria. Wash off all of your vegetables and fruits before you eat them to get rid of any pesticides. You might also want to consider buying organic foods with little or no exposure to pesticide products.
After being diagnosed with cancer you’ll have to become open with people you’ve just met. Your medical team will feature an oncologist, your doctor and nurses and your emotional support team will include friends and family, as well as support group members. Graciously allow these people to help you, because you can’t face cancer alone.
Your expectations are often different from reality, so you have to be prepared for that. Value all of the support you receive.
Make sure that you communicate with others. If you feel that there is a lack of communication among your close friends and relatives, talk to them about it in a nice way. Be kind as you explain to your loved ones why you need further support and how they can help. But be cautious though! This is a challenging and emotional time. Come from a position of love. Don’t try to manipulate people or make them feel guilty–just state calmly what you need. Be decisive!
Do everything you can to fight your cancer. Your life literally depends on it.
